Imagine if your browser is not only a markup rendering engine, and it acts as an information broker. We usually visit different websites to fulfill our needs or daily activities like buying & selling something, gather some information or manage our social network. The general model is we travel to a particular site then proceed to enter data. Information is scattered in the web we have to choose which site we want to use. If we don’t have any idea which site to use then we search it on the web. Imagine a scenario i want to sell my old car and i blog about it, and a classifieds website find it when it aggregate advertisements across the web.
Have you been over hearing people talk about Microformats and thought to yourself “what are those?”
Microformats can be defined as
simple conventions for embedding semantic markup for a specific problem domain
in human-readable (X)HTML/XML documents, Atom/RSS feeds, and “plain” XML
that normalize existing content usage pattern
using brief, descriptive class names
often based on existing inter operable standards
to enable decentralized development
of resources, tools, and services
Examples:
Flickr using microformats which lets user to geotag their photos
upcoming.yahoo.com using hCalender microformat to aggregate events.

It was hard enough to master all the different skills involved in being a good user experience architect. Most of us are generalists. We need to know enough about technology to work with engineers. We need to know enough about visual design to work with designers. Every time we start a new project, we need to learn about our client’s business and their business problems, until we can recite them in our sleep. We need to be part designer, part psychologist, part researcher, part corporate therapist. We need to be able to write cogently, sketch our ideas so that even the most distracted marketing executives can understand them, and give killer presentations. -Katrina Alcorn

I have accepted an offer from Kanbay(a CapGemini group of company). Yesterday was my last day in Wipro Technologies and today is my first day in Kanbay. I have reached
hyderabadby 8.30 am. From Ameerpet to the Madhapur auto wala charged me 180 bucks but he helped me in searching the guest house. I thought he deserves 20 more bucks i have paid him 200/-. By the time i reach the guest house it was 9.30 am. I took a quick bath and left to office. Finished my joining formalities by 12.oo pm. And the office is tooo … far from the city you can’t find a single auto near to the campus. I felt very bad whether this campus would be my work place. After finishing all of my joining formalities vandana directed me to go to another campus to meet my Project Managers. Now i am at JVP campus and writing this blog. I have met one of the tech lead he explained me something blah blah about Kanbay and about the work. with the conversation i came to know that they are not interested in providing HFI certification but there will be a lot of internal knowledge sharing sessions. I like the JVP campus its not too big like wipro; just park your vehicle within 2 jumps you will be at your desk. There will be no work for me for the first week. Enjoy Maadi.!
